NIERE / RENAL has been specifically designed to provide cats with reduced protein content by using high quality protein in an easily digestible composition. High protein levels can damage the kidneys. Crucial here is the protein content based on the amount of energy.
With Kattovit NIERE / RENAL only about half of the energy is provided by protein, in contrast to conventional feed.
The enrichment with potassium citrate ensures a less acidic urine (neutral) and can thus prevent the oxalate crystal formation (oxalate prophylaxis). The levels of phosphorus and sodium are reduced.
Recommended feeding time: first up to 6 months, in acute renal insufficiency 2-4 weeks.
It is recommended that you seek the advice of a veterinarian before using or before prolonging the feeding time.Fresh water at leisure should always be available.

Composition: Meat and animal by-products, eggs and egg products, cereals, vegetable by-products, oils and fats, yeasts, fish and fish by-products, minerals (0.1% potassium citrate).

Feeding recommendation: An average sized cat (4 kg) receives about 60g per day. Please always provide enough fresh drinking water.
